Pixie
is a mutt goat I bought from a farmer with her half sister Daisy.
She loves walking on this wooden plank we built for them. We originally
bought the pair as lawnmowers but fell in love with their personalities.
Pixie is more outgoing then her sister. She follows me around trying to
get me with her horns playfully. They like my three dogs and play chasing
games with them as well. It is fun to just go sit out there and have
them come nuzzle you. This picture was taken when she was about six or seven
weeks old. Her favorite food is oak leaves and she likes to "meh" a lot
when we do yard work. We also have two other goats besides this pair. They
are floppy eared. For a short period of time they adopted a baby deer
who would lay out in the field with them. The doe was using them as a
baby-sitting service. Sometimes if you can't see the faces of the goats
they look like deer and my dad makes fun of our goats by calling them
deer and dogs since the floppy eared ones do look a bit doggish. Pixie
is very special.
