Mr.
Slim is an ex-racehorse that we bought last September. He is very
friendly and loves people, but he sometimes bites. We are going to
retrain him to be a hunter/jumper, but because he has knee problems he
can only jump a little over two feet. This is his picture from January,
when he was outside enjoying the snowfall, and the lack of flies that
pester him in the summer months!
Slim loves to play with an empty soda bottle filled with grain that
hangs from his ceiling in the barn. He hits it back and forth when he is
bored. He is very curious and excitable. The smallest things set him
off. Sometimes he gets so excited he starts to snort. He is very
affectionate and loves people. He has a habit of sometimes getting loose
and running around. It might be because he misses the track. He always
comes back though snorting and heaving and looking at us like "what was
my time?"
