Earl
was originally supposed to be baby-sat until her owner was able to
take her back. I became attached to this wonderful being and to my
advantage her owner allowed me to keep her, permanently. I was ecstatic.
She got her name because we originally thought she was a male. By the
time we found out she was a girl we were all so used to calling her Earl
that we couldn't change her name. I call her "Earl, my baby girl". She
is completely harmless and a huge sweetheart. We have even convinced my
best friend to hold her. This was a big step because she has
ophidiophobia - a fear of snakes. I think that Earl is unique because she
is an escape artist but never leaves me, she just has little vacations.
She got out for one month, during the dead of winter, with no heat in
our house and survived with no food or heat. Oh, did I mention she
managed to steer clear of three crazy cats during this time. I think she
is a pretty cool character. She has a great personality and I am so
lucky to have her as part of my animal family.
