Classy
Game, or Cici for short, is a seven-year-old Paint mare. I've had her
for about a year and a half, and we show in 4-H and on my high school's
equestrian team. Last April, Cici was involved in an accident at my
trainer's barn, when she kicked a barn door, and her leg went all the way
through the twisted metal. There was one deep gash, but it was right
around the tendon and suspensory vein. Cici went lame...she wouldn't put
any pressure on the leg, and she would only walk when being shoved from
behind. We were afraid it had severed the tendon...in that case, she would
never be ridden or shown again. But the tendon was missed by about two
millimeters, and Cici fully recovered with only a scar. In September, we
competed at the Washington State 4-H Fair. We were the Fitting and Showing
Grand Champions of 2002...the greatest accomplishment of our career
together.
Cici is an awesome horse, and I believe she deserves to be honored. Cici
is the sweetest horse I've ever known!!! She's a "people horse" - really
affectionate and willing to do anything for attention. Her favorite human
food is Honeycomb cereal! She doesn't really know any tricks, but she will
follow me around anywhere... kind of like Tag. And if I leave her for even
a second, and have someone hold her, she watches for me the whole time I'm gone.
