This
is Nine (pronounced Nee-neh) who lives with her two loving humans.
Her cage is in the living room and is never closed. We have bunny-proofed
cables and have given her things to chew on, so we have no problems with
her chewing on things she's not allowed to chew on (usually!). As a
result, we have a happy rabbit with full (unsupervised) run of the
apartment at all times. It is sad to see other rabbits locked in their
cages most of the time. Nine loves digging and tearing up cardboard and
can spend ages doing this, making a big mess all over the floor! After a
nice meal of hay she likes to lie down stretched out on the floor, as
seen in the picture. She loves being cuddled and having her nose
scratched, so she gets lots of attention every day. And if we're lucky,
we get to witness hyper-jumps and sprints when she's happy and full of
energy! She also loves tomatoes, grapes, lettuce and especially...
carrots! She always gets a bit of carrot before we go to bed, so when
she sees us brushing our teeth at night she waits impatiently by our
feet for her carrot. And at night she comes into the bedroom to sleep on
the floor next to our bed. She really is the best bun you could ever want!!
