is a Grant Zebra filly. Zebras are wild animals and require a
Class 3 license in the State of Florida. I have admired Zebras for
many, many years. After developing a secure facility, I looked
throughout the country for a Grant Zebra and was fortunate to locate
twelve-week-old Tiffany Marie in Tennessee. I then bottle fed and spent an
enormous amount of time with her which allowed her to bond with me.
I groom her, take her for walks, lunge her and trim her feet.
Tiffany is friendly with visitors, but usually at guarded distance.
Whenever around Zebras, you always have to respect the fact that they are
wild - not domesticated - animals and that their behavior is instinctive.
They are not striped horses and do not respond the same. As a rule
Zebras are not rideable as they associate weight on their backs with
predators and danger, therefore, they are not what you would consider a
typical pet. I have a mini-farm with 30 or so critters who are all
special, but Tiffany Marie is the most special.
