About Us
Brooklyn, the Pet of the Day
Name: Brooklyn
Age: Two years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Silver Mitt Ferret
Home: Austin, Texas, USA

Brooklyn was my first ferret, whom I've had nearly a year now. She is extremely playful and well-trained, other than the occasional (and in my opinion, cute) inviting-you-to-play nip. She loves exploring indoors and out, and is constantly on the move. She is very social and dominant. Lucky for me, she's totally tolerant and will always be my wonderful first pet - the princess, Brooklyn.

Brook is the independent type, often referred to as the "queen" or "alpha fuzzy". She knows a few tricks, which have been taught to her by bribery of treats. My favorite is holding out a tape roll or small hoop, which she will jump through if rewarded! She can be affectionate once in a while, but mostly just loves action and playing around. When encountering another ferret, she'll follow them around and encourage them to play. Her favorite game is hide-and-seek, which involves chasing her sister, Emma, around her Grandma's desk and having a bit of a staring contest.
