Charlie
came to live with me when she was ten weeks old. Irresponsibly,
her previous owner had not separated her from the male guinea pigs at
the right time, and it soon became obvious that Charlie was pregnant,
while still only a baby herself. Thankfully, after several weeks of her
waddling around looking tired and cumbersome, everything turned out
swimmingly. She had three healthy and beautiful babies, and was a
wonderful mum to them (all three babies stayed with me of course!).
Charlie has a wonderful nature and loves nothing more than to sprawl out
on your lap being hand fed veggies. If you throw in a back rub for her,
she's in heaven, and will close her eyes, purring dreamily. She's a
little lazier than the others, and rather than bounding around the house
relentlessly with them, prefers to find a nice cosy box with a towel in,
and snuggle down for a nap. Unless she hears the fridge door open of
course, and then she's out like a shot, wondering why it took you quite
so long to crack out the parsley again! You can see lots more of
Charlie and her pals on
their website.
