My
beautiful little Wascal deserves to be Pet of the Day because he has
been through so much. He came to me through some special guys who found
him wandering around in the woods as the men were working. He was
obviously a very gentle, domestic animal whom someone had grown tired of
and abandoned. The guys brought him to the store in which I work, so
that they could maybe find something for the rabbit to eat. Once I saw
him, I totally fell in love! There was no question that we were meant to
find each other. As vegans, my husband Cal and I are the perfect
"parents" for this little sweetheart. We have plenty of fresh, organic
veggies for Wascal to munch on and wouldn't dream of eating any of his
animal buddies ;) Wascal has been with us for a while now (his "Gotcha"
day is April 17, 2003... the day he came to live with us). He is very smart,
has the run of the house just like a cat, loves us both - and his nanner
chips - and even sometimes uses his litter box like a good little bun.
We love him very much and hope he will forgive us for having him
neutered next week. ;)
