Lily
was born in my home and is now an elderly lady of three years old.
She has a wonderful personality and has always been the sweetest rat you
could hope for. She recently under-went major surgery which she came
through with flying colors and she deserves to celebrate by being
shared with the whole world. She is very affectionate, and likes to sit
on my lap and watch TV with me and loves to share anything I am eating.
She is getting slightly less cuddly now as she is getting very old. A
three year old rat is the equivalent of a person of about 100+ years.
Lily doesn't do any tricks but as a younger rat she would run for
hours and hours at a time in her wheel and she loved to 'wrestle' with
my hand. She still loves her food and will eat almost anything offered
to her. Her favorites are peas and cheerios. She still has some
free-range time each day where she comes out of her cage to play with
us, though she will often just find somewhere comfortable and have a
nap. On her third birthday recently she visited with one of her
littermates (who has since sadly died) and they had a bit of a party.
