Petrie
is very unique because she is more bossy and stubborn than most
people! She is a spoiled little bird, who always wants her way; at the
exact moment she wants it! But I love her so much. She was born in May
of 1999. (I'm not sure of her exact hatch date). She was hand-feed by
the breeder and then came home with me when she was about two or three months
old. She is also probably the most photographed Conure on the web! I

Petrie was my first "real" parrot (I had only had budgies previous to
bringing her home) and she has inspired me to get so involved with
parrots. She has really changed my life. I've gotten highly involved
in rescue work with parrots and have rescued a total of nine parrots and
doves since bringing Petrie home, three short years ago. I owe it all to
her... because she was the bird who sparked my interest, or rather,
passion with parrots!
