This
is Abigail, the Miniature Donkey. Abigail was a gift for my daughter
Sara from her grandmother for her birthday last year. She and her
brother Happy are the cutest pair! A lot of people may not be familiar
with donkeys, but they are not like most people think of them. Abigail
is so friendly and every time anyone goes in the field she has to get
some attention. In fact, they are both very docile and loving. I think
that a lot of credit for Abigail being so friendly has to do with the
breeder where we got her and her brother, Yonder Farm in Adamstown, MD.
The owners, Roberta and Mac, love these animals so much from the time
they are born that they are like big dogs.
My daughter can walks Abigail and Happy on a lead and sometimes, if they
are willing, they will jump over a small jump for her. Anyone looking
for a sweet pet like this, they are wonderful farm pet and great with
kids. My daughter Sara will go out and sit with Abigail and Happy and
play with them sometimes for hours.
