Chessie
is a male Netherlands Dwarf, his coloring is called Smoked Pearl
Martin. In addition to his timothy and rabbit food, he enjoys his banana
and cereal in the morning. During the day he will ask for a potato chip,
pretzel, carrot, apple slice, blue berry, carrot, and lettuce leaf. Of
course all these items are given in moderation and merely represent a
list of items that Chessie enjoys.
Chessie is a house rabbit and has the run of a designated number of
rooms. He also knows that he can only eat on his mat, and if he is given
an item of food off the mat, he will return to the mat with the item in
his mouth. His cage is only for sleeping and is only closed up during
the night. He loves to do the bunny dance on the back porch and the deck
and will also welcome being picked up and petted at any time. He is
known to walk up to one while we are sitting and pawing at our mid-calf
so that he is acknowledged. Chessie is certainly a one of a kind of bunny.
