Phatty, the Pet of the Day
Name: Phatty
Age: Seven months old
Gender: Male
Kind: Holland Lop Rabbit
Home: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

We acquired Phatty when he was four months old at a local pet store. My mom and my sister couldn't resist his puppy-like looks and had to buy him at that moment or he would have been sent to the SPCA. The lady at the pet store kept calling him a "good girl" since he was a little sweetheart to her, but when we got him home and flipped him over, he was definitely a guy!

Phatty's favorite things to do is to eat his treats that we give him and to create havoc to anything he can get his teeth on, (mostly the couch and any paper substances.) If we walk into his room with anything to eat, he would run up to us and start begging on his hind legs like a dog. He's the most laziest of all the three rabbits since he would take a few bounds, then lay down, exhausted. Phatty is also very messy when he eats his orange slice. He drips all over the carpet and himself, then licks it all dry to savour the juices.

Phatty now lives happily with a female dutch named Pittis and is now a whopping seven pounds. He gained a lot of nicknames from our relatives; Phattyness, Phattness, the sheep, the dog, jellybelly, and a lot more. Phatty has brought a lot of comic relief to this family and others. We won't forget to celebrate his birthday, it's December 25th.
