Freckles
is a Lop-eared rabbit. We got him when he was about eight weeks
old. In this picture, he is two months old. He is a very sweet Bunny, and
quite naughty (in a funny kind of way)! He doesn't bite, but boy, he
sure does scratch! If you pick him up, or even try to, he gets into your
arms in a funny position like a posable figure and acts content, but the
next thing you know, he is kicking and flying around!
Freckles is a playful Bunny and lives outside in his little bunny hutch.
(Actually, his cage is huge!) he is in the place we call the small
garage. The treadmill and all the other workout things are in there,
too. Since he is Lop-eared, it is so cute when he is scared! Whenever a
plane goes by or any flying thing, he stops what he is doing and puts
his head up, his ears out straight across. He probably thought it was a
hawk.
He has large back feet. When you are holding him and he has no choice
but to cooperate, then when you let him go he hops away, kicking up his
back legs, then he thumps one leg once he gets to the corner as if
saying: "What are you thinking? You think I'll just sit there and let
you baby me?" But that is all forgiven when you come back to give him
lunch. Usually his lunch is Parsley topped with banana and apple, (and
sometimes grapes and cheerios.) He munches his parsley down in ten
seconds! (I usually give him a lot, and I mean he eats all of it in ten
seconds!) His favorite foods are anything edible, and sometimes things
that are not!
Once, Freckles ate part of a paper plate! We got him at the Bel Air
shopping center at Jack's Pet Chalet. He is a very great companion and
will always be part of the family!
