||Three, Seven years old|
two chinchillas are very special. Pip is the small one - my wee
boy - and Archie is the larger one - my wee girl. Pip is very friendly
a little bit shy of strangers but very friendly and inquisitive to his
mum and dad. He's a very noisy wee boy and loves to get attention and
barks and makes lots of noise all the time.
Archie is about seven years old. She was a rescued chin badly looked after
and neglected - we were her fourth owners - the day we got her she
sat in her cage wouldn't come out, wouldn't even move from the corner of
her cage. It was estimated she was about four years old. Well, now she is a
totally different wee chinny. She has a new bigger cage, a wee friend
(pip), she is so spoiled that no stranger can go into her room without
her thinking they are there just to see her and to give her a raisin.
Although she hates being held, she loves when you speak to her and rub
under her chin - a totally spoiled wee girl. Both my chinnies are
standard grey although I think there is nothing standard about any of them!
