Corky, the Pet of the Day
Name: Corky
Age: Seven months old
Gender: Female
Kind: Holland Lop Rabbit
Home: Omaha, Nebraska, USA

I'm Corky and I came on a plane all the way from Washington to my new home in Nebraska. It was kind of scary, but my new owner, Mallory, takes good care of me and spoils me! I live in Mallory's bunny barn. It has industrial fans to keep me cool and lots of windows so I get lots of fresh air. Mallory keeps the barn closed at night to protect me from scary things like possums. I live with lots of other bunnies so I have to make myself stand out from the rest. If I feel left out, I spill my food to let Mallory know that I want attention. I like lots of attention! I am extremely sweet and I love to cuddle with Mallory. I especially like it when she cradles me like a baby. I also like to sit in my show pose and show myself off. Everyone says what a pretty rabbit I am and what a sweet face I have!

Aside from being Mallory's adored pet, I'm also one of her show bunnies. I love going to 4-H and youth shows! Some bunnies don't like shows, but I love being handled and am always nice to my judges. I especially like beating the older bunnies and bringing home trophies and ribbons. I even have a 4-H best in show, which is a big accomplishment at such a young age!

I am a chestnut-colored bunny, which is a rare color for a Holland Lop. Most are the tort (brownish) color. This combined with my love to show myself off makes me popular at the shows. Despite my talent, I really enjoying just cuddling with Mallory and posing for her pictures!
