Her
name is Bunny and she is a female rabbit. This photo was taken
when she was three months old. At the moment Bunny lives in a spare
room as it is winter time and here in the UK it is extremely cold and
she would not survive those kind of conditions. During the summer she
stays out in the garden during the day, she gets to run around the
garden and have fun as we have a six foot fence all around so she is
secure but we still supervise her as she like to dig and has escaped a
few times into the garden next door and we have to spend all evening
chasing her. We also have two cats and I recently bought a guinea pig,
her name is Winnie.
Bunny has been through a lot lately, she unexpectedly gave birth to
six lovely baby lop eared rabbits. We did not know that she was even
pregnant. She conceived when we where looking after a friend's rabbits
and she told us that they were females. Bunny's babies are ten days old
now and have just opened their little eyes. The vets did not expect
them to survive as I had touched them (I didn't know the first thing
about breeding) but Bunny has accepted me touching them from day one.
Maybe she appreciates me helping her out, I don't know. I have
suffered from bad depression now for over one year and Bunny has
brought so much joy into my life, especially with the birth of her new
family. I just want everyone to know the story of Bunny and her new
family. I guess she isn't alone any more.
