||Nine, Ten months old|
||African Pygmy Hedgehog|
is special because she is Tiggy. She is a beautiful little girl
who loves to be held and enjoys meeting new people on our daily walks.
Her favorite past times are eating meal worms running around with a
toilet paper tube on her head. She was rescued from a pet store in Feb.
2002 and came to me in June 2002 when her human had to move from a house
to an apt.. You can't see it clearly in the picture (unless you look
closely) but she is missing the outer part of her left ear....she had
been neglected in the pet store and no one noticed that her ear was a
bloody pulp (a result of being bit by another hedgehog).
Winkle is special because she is Winkle. What can I say...she is
beautiful like her "sister", she loves to climb, she is our explorer and
would rather be roaming around than be held. Her favorite past time is
wheeling and she'll do it for hours. She was rescued from a pet store in
Jan. 2002 where she had been seriously neglected (she was covered in
mites) and I adopted her in June from a friend who had to move suddenly.
Both girls hold a special place in my heart and because of them I have
become an advocate in adopting rescued hedgehogs and will hopefully soon
be adding to my hedgie family.
