This
is my beautiful little boy and best buddy, Contiki (Tiki for
short). Tiki shares his home with his human family, his big sister,
Pandora, who is an African Grey, his little brother, Horus, a Blue
Headed Pionus and his favorite kitty, Talichat, who is a purebred
Birman. Tiki is the little entertainer in our family. He loves to sway
back and forth to music and even makes a feeble attempt at singing. He
enjoys going for rides in the car and is happy sitting on my shoulder
while he listens to the radio.
During the nice weather, he likes to visit his "Uncle Mommy" who hand fed
him as a baby at the pet store. Tiki and his siblings went on their
first camping trip this past summer to a Summer Star Party and were the
center of attraction. Tiki has a good appetite and loves his morning
oatmeal and soy milk. He loves to play with his toys, sometimes laying
on his back while he does and loves to sleep in his birdie hammock at
night. His favourite snack is almonds in a shell which also help to
keep his beak in good shape.
Tiki has a small vocabulary and will say "Tiki, bye bye, step up, no,
night night and hello". It's true what they say about conures being
loud, but Tiki is so cute and has so much personality, you can't help
but love him.
