Altais is so special because he is my first snake. Ever since I
can remember I've loved reptiles, mainly snakes. I'm now 26 and finally
own one. He, like all snakes, are amazing creatures in that they have no
legs but can effortlessly glide across ground, through water, and can
even climb things. What makes Altais particularly special to me is his
curiosity. He loves to smell (with his tongue, another cool aspect)
everything new to him. Even people. He's really good with the kids in
the neighborhood when they come over to see him. When I put him in their
hands (always supervised) he just lays there smelling their hands and
arms. I love Altais because he knows me apart from everybody else.
Altais is just special.
