Sonny
is one of the more exotic members of our family. He is an adult
male Kinkajou of unknown age. (He always reacts indignantly when asked
his age.) We discovered him living on a small farm being fed a less than
healthful diet of "people food", and receiving little to no attention.
We talked his owner into selling him to us and brought him home to the
rest of our kindred animals. He was promptly scrubbed, vet checked, and
put on a proper diet of fruits and vegetables. Despite being a shy
little man, he was nonetheless forthcoming with his gratitude. He has
been with us for nearly a year now, and has grown to be a sweet, chubby
little fellow.
