Tootie
was born on May 15, 2000, and she was named after Margaret
O'Brien's character, Tootie Smith, in the classic film "Meet Me in St.
Louis." Like her namesake, Tootie is very mischievous; she runs laps
on our sofa and likes to play hide-and-seek behind the pillows. Much
to our distress, she has been known to take a flying leap off the sofa
so that she can play on the floor! She doesn't like to be picked up
out of her cage; she has to climb onto my arm instead. When she is in
need of an extra dose of loving attention, she sits in her bowl and
whistles! Tootie has also become a hockey fan; she loves to watch
hockey games from the TV's reflection on the glass walls of her cage.
Tootie is a very special little girl, and we love her very much!
