Champ
(Full name Champion Buddy McHamster hehe!) is totally kewl! She
knows many tricks, like 'hamsterdance'. Hamsterdance is her first
trick ever. Champ will get up on her hind legs, and dance around, back
and forth, just like on that hamsterdance.com website! She looks
really cute too. Champ is also potty-trained. She will only ever go in
this specially made toilet for hamsters. Another trick Champ knows is
'go to your wheel'. Champ had a metal wheel in her cage. She was
getting fat, because she never ran in it! So, I taught her that the
only way that she could come outside to play was if she ran a few
times in her wheel. Soon, Champ would run in her wheel and then wait
at the door very impatiently. (She doesn't like to wait!). Now,
whenever I hear the wheel squeak, I will make a mad dash for the cage,
to let Champion out.
Champ is one of the bravest animals I know. When we got a West
Highland White Terrier, I figured she would be scared out of her fur
coat! One day, our Westie (Cocoa) escaped from the kitchen, and ran to
Champ's cage. Champ was at that time, chewing the bars of her cage
(trying to escape, tsk, tsk, tsk!) and at first, she froze with fear
when seeing Cocoa breath bad breath on her. Next... When Cocoa tried
to sniff and lick Champ, Champ swatted Cocoa right in the nose!
Well, if I were in Champ's spot, I would never have been able to do
that! Champ is the very best hamster ever.
