My
hamster is PJ, so named because he is Paddington Junior. Paddington
is the son of Yarash Junior who ran for vice president last November.
Therefore, PJ comes from a great lineage. I just got PJ a week ago. My
wife and I drove nine hours round trip to get him. We saw his picture and
loved him that much. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio and we had to drive
to Charleston, WV to meet his breeder, who lives in Maryland.
PJ was born on July 16, one of a litter of eight. This was one of the
pictures that made me drive that far to get him. He is really about
the sweetest and gentlest hamster I have ever known. Sorry I don't
have any pictures of his fiancee, our other hamster Scratchie. She was
born in early May of 2000.
PJ is a very affectionate hamster and just loves to be cuddled. Unlike
other hamsters, e.g. Scratchie whom we also have, he is far more of a
morning person. He really likes to do his major activity after dawn,
whereas most hamsters are pretty much asleep by then. When Scratchie
is up in evening he is still sleeping and when he is up in the morning
she is already all sacked out.
