G'day,
this is li'l Chief, he is a Major Mitchell Cockatoo. What makes
him so special is that he makes people smile and he giggles a lot.
Chief loves spending time out of his large cage and playing with his
best mate Spike, a Galah, however he enjoys a good scratch over
receiving any food treats, here he is ready for a good time in the
shower. His diet consists mainly fresh fruits and vegetables,
occasional snacking on seeds, peanuts and popcorn. As part of the
Cockatoo family, Chief likes to chew a lot of timber and sleeps on one
foot, His breed can reach well over 100 years of age, this is one
Major Mitchell with a long life ahead of him and a lot of enjoyment to
give to those around him.
