Hello,
this our two-year-old Timneh African Grey named Tonka. She
loves to play with her toys on top of her cage! Here she is pumping
iron! We have had her ever since she was weaned and boy was she a
grumpy baby. Now she is the most amazingly intelligent (and goofy)
bird we have. She learns words so quickly now that we don't know when
we're going to hear them next. Her latest thing is asking everyone in
the house -- including the cat and dogs -- if they're okaaaay. About 50
times a night one has to respond yes we're okay. Parrots are amazing
pets and we have several others but I do not think they are for
everyone. They are an extremely high maintenance animal and because of
their intelligence they require lot's of attention. Tonka was a noisy
baby and we have been able to divert her energy into productive
language. We love timnehs and if anyone is thinking of a grey, why not
a timneh, they are friends for life!
