Star
was first owned by my aunt, who bought him from her cousin. My
mom wanted him for me, but the groom told her that he was too old to
be taught how to jump (I'm now learning how) and my aunt said that he
was too strong for me, and he was really spooky.
Well, two years passed and my aunt brought him from her farm to the
stables where I ride. My instructor told me to try him out. I was
hesitant at first, but then finally agreed because I was curious to
see what this beautiful horse was like. He spooked when a rock fell on
the roof which shook me up, and he did this a couple of times.
The next day, I saw him out in the field, jumping some low crossbars!
It turns out that he was a show horse from Minnesota! He was shown in
Pinto classes and he was taught how to jump a bit, too! My aunt said
that if I wanted him, I could have him! And of course, I agreed! He's
so sweet! If you go near his face (like really near), he'll nuzzle you
and he'll let you kiss his forehead. And when you leave, he whinnies,
as if to say "come back soon!". He's thirteen years old,
(which no one can believe) but he looks like a four-year-old!
