This
is my horse Cherokee! He is a ten-year-old Thoroughbred
ex-racehorse gelding, who is now a show jumper :) He is very special to
me because he's brought me and taught me so much. Cherokee is a very
demanding guy, who always gets upset with me if I don't pay enough
attention to him, or pay attention to other people or horses, and
proceeds to ignore me and be a cranky face. Eventually he gets over it
though, but hates that I try to make it up with kissy faces :) He drives
me nuts because his favorite pastime is to roll and make life hard for
me ! He loves to pick up whole bales of hay and swing them around
with his mouth all the way across the barn! Everyone gets a good
laugh out of that one but me-no respect here! He also has this ongoing
love story with his TB/Hanoverian girlfriend, Mariah. They can
not be separated and go nuts neighing and galloping in circles if
separated. When Mariah is being ridden, Cherokee galops around the ring
like a wild beast. And when we put one of them back in the field when
the other in already there, they neigh to each other and then galop to
each other like a bad romance movie. Cherokee is my love, my life, and
my forever horse!
