Peewee
is about eleven years old and female-yes we're sure!
We got PeeWee almost eight years ago, for my son's 10th birthday. A
couple of months later, she started getting this growth on the side of
her head. We looked and looked for a vet that could help her, but no one
knew what to do for her. Finally, we found a vet that treated turtles.
They said she had an abscessed ear. Turtles don't have interconnected
ears, throat, and sinuses. Their ear drum is on the outside of their
heads. She had surgery and stayed in the hospital overnight. She became
my turtle, because I had to take her to work with me to give her
medicine three times a day. She is soo friendly, never bites, and loves
kisses on her mouth. She looks like she is wearing orange lipstick. She
has lived with us in two different countries. Peewee knows who we are
by our smell so she will come right to us and will follow where we go.
she's out going and when we hold her she holds her head out so we can
rub under her chin. She goes for walks everyday that it is warm.
