This
is Maui. She's a six month old Senegal Parrot and she lives on Long
Island, in New York, USA. Maui is just the cutest, friendliest, most
loveable little creature. If you pet her beak, she will gently pet your
face in return. If you take a nap, she will nap with you under the
covers. If she's eating her favorite rice pudding, she'll share some
with you. Maui loves to sit on the windowsill and keep an eye on the
neighbors, and sing to her bird friends who live on the roof next door.
She is also a little acrobat, swinging upside down from her jungle gym
on one foot. What a show off! Maui's unconditional love make her little
acts of mischief forgivable (such as pretending to be the phone so I
will pay her attention--you should hear her ring! and changing the time
on my watch when I'm not looking--what a clever bird!)
