George
and Martha are three to four year old Red-Eared Slider Turtles.
They live mostly in water in a large tank in our living room. George is
very friendly and when you come into the room he swims up to the glass
and wants to get out. Martha can be a little shy and if sun-bathing,
will jump off the rocks into the water if startled. Bring out the shrimp
to eat and they both will go nuts, they try and climb over each other to
get the shrimp from your hand! Red sliders are great pets, they are very
active and animated. Most people don't think turtles have that much
personality.
