Bael
is approximately 17 feet long when relaxed and approximately 200
pounds. The Burmese python is one of the biggest snakes, growing up to
25 feet. He is very gentle and likes to cruise around the townhouse. He
lives in the garage in a large apartment of his own and loves to
entertain!!
Bael is currently on display at the Virginia Marine Science Museum for
approximately three months. In case you wonder why he's at a Marine museum,
Burmese pythons are good swimmers, and they are able to stay submerged
for up to half an hour. The young lady in the photo is the proud friend
of Bael.
