Tangelo
is a white bellied caique. Tangie came to me as a foster bird
along with three others, a Blue & Gold Macaw and two Swainson
Lorikeets. The owners found homes for the other three birds, but I
could not part with Tangelo. He bonded with me the first day I had
him. He is a total clown and always makes me laugh. He likes to hang
upside down and slide down my chest backwards. He climbs inside my
shirt at the bottom and climbs out the neck of my shirt. I have taken
him to school classes for small kids and he thrills them all. He is
quite the acrobat and does crazy tricks in his cage. He is one of
sixteen birds, but the only clown.
