This
is Thumper. Thumper is a very special little critter because I
found her running wild with some normal grey wild bunnies nearby where I
live in Belgium. Thumper was being a bit bullied by the street wise
things, so I decided that 'wild' was not the best place for her. It
didn't take much effort to catch her because she was on the look out for
food. She came to me and I carefully took her home. On that short
journey between the green field and my home she earned her name,
Thumper. She was kicking the heck out of me! Anyway, she had learned to
trust me by the very next day, and eagerly came to me for attention.
That next day I had already bought Thumper a new house, water bottle,
food bowl, wood shavings, food etc. I was pretty sure that nobody would
come forward to claim poor Thumper, but I at least wanted to give her a
good, stable and comfortable surrounding whilst she stayed with me. So
far, nobody's come forward for her. She's mine now, or should I say...
I'm hers now.
She's a really cute thing. This picture of her was taken early in the
morning after the evening that I had caught her. She's happily chomping
on a carrot. She soon after flopped out and had a lovely peaceful sleep,
and I felt content knowing that she was safe from harm because I had
been worrying about her when I'd seen her running wild before. She's an
absolute darling... worthy of every award.
