Popeye
(left) and SweetPea (right) are a barred tiger salamander and a
blotched tiger salamander respectively. These two are the weirdest
couple of tiger salamanders on the planet. Both are very tame and
love to have their head and sides rubbed. Popeye thinks salamanders live
in trees because he likes to climb the vines in his cage. 'Pea is more
laid back and spends most of the day resting. But both are ready for
action when supper comes. Another fun pastime is digging up all the moss
in the tank and putting it in water dishes. But most the time you'll
find these two sleeping side by side cuddling.
