About Us
Sonny Boy, the Pet of the Day
Name: Sonny Boy
Age: Twelve years old
Gender: Male
Kind: American Quarter Horse
Home: South Bend, Indiana, USA

Sonny Boy is definitely the one who has changed my life the most. From the first day I saw him and rode him I knew that I would always love him. Before I bought him in 1999, I rode him a lot at my stable where he was a schooling horse. Everyone always loved to ride and play with him. He is the sweetest and most well-behaved horse I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. When we bought him it was the happiest day of my life. I finally had the thing I had wanted the most in the entire world and he was all mine.

Sonny is a mid-sized horse standing at just above 15.2 hands. He has a golden sheen to his gorgeous chestnut coat that makes him beautiful in the sunlight. He has a beautiful face and his huge almond shaped milky brown eyes are very hard to ignore. He also has personality through the roof. He behaves very well but is a sight to see out frolicking in the pasture. Sonny excels really at two things: He absolutely loves jumping, but his niche in life is definitely rodeo; he loves barrel racing and is doing wonderfully at it.

Sonny and I have bonded very closely and he is my best friend and companion. I do everything with him. Last year even, I showed him in the county fair. He and I had a blast. A retired polo pony, Sonny has a lot of speed and stamina, and he loves to show it off. I run him almost every other day and he absolutely loves it. Sonny really doesn't have any horribly bad habits and he behaves wonderfully in the company of humans and other horses. I love Sonny and I always will love Sonny. For the rest of my life and even afterwards I will always love and remember by "bestest" friend. No human or horse could ever take his place in my heart.
