Here
is Seaking, my seven year old fantail goldfish. He has his own
personality, likes to blow bubbles and splashes at night to keep me up,
pretends that's he's a piranha and attacks his food, rubs his scales on
his rock when he's itchy (that is, if fish can get itchy...), kills
minnows for fun (I'm never putting fish in with him ever again!), he
even allows me to touch his head with my finger without swimming away.
Seaking's been able to live through three rashes, eight vacations, and
two torn fins. He's on a strict diet of nutri-pellets and color-pellets,
the flaky stuff made him fat. He's living by himself in his ten-gallon
aquarium, all his roommates died (another fantail, a bunch of
minnows and a bubble eye). Seaking is my longest living fish, and I'm
going to miss him when he goes.
