This
is Vanna, a seven-month-old, african pygmy hedgehog. She is the
best pet. She is nocturnal so she sleeps all day long. She comes out a
night or like at four in the morning. While she is up during her free
time she does lots of stuff. First she usually goes and drinks out of
her little plastic water bottle. Next she goes to her blue bowl and eats
her Science Diet catfood. The last thing she does is run on her black
running wheel. I figured out a few months ago her favorite color is
black, so she pees all over her wheel to mark it. I also have a black
lab who I once put Vanna on and she peed all over him.
What makes Vanna so special is that she is an acrobat. What I do is put
her on my leg when it's slanted and she rolls down and does a flip. It's
so funny! Recently I just trained her to go to the bathroom in the
toilet. When she has to go she rubs against me. So I bring her over on
the toilet seat and she plops it right in. If you are thinking about
getting a hedgehog it is a lot of work, so think before you get one. She
is a happy, healthy hedgehog and their life span is from 6-10 years.
