In
the picture, Lily is cuddled up with her cage mate Haley, my brown
agouti rat. Lily is small for a rat - dainty being a better word - but
has a huge heart. She adores cuddling (as you can see) with her
cage mates, Haley and Gwyneth, and with me. She often kisses me -
licking my hands, my face, my arms, etc. She is timid in her movements,
but never afraid to come up to a stranger for attention or to sneak into
a place where Haley and Gwyneth are afraid to go. She is adventurous
half of the time, and the other half of the time, she spends cuddling
with whoever is near. She lets me turn her over on her back while I am
petting her - something few rats do - and she also will run up my shirt
and climb on my shoulder during playtime just to kiss me before she
climbs back down to chase her cage mates. She loves to curl up in my
shirt and go to sleep. My "Silly Lily" is the sweetest rat I
have ever known!
