Riker
is a three-year-old Quaker Parakeet. Why is he special? Riker was
my first bird. From the start, Riker was special. He loves to snuggle.
He loves to play and talk to me. His favorite food is a Pringles potato
chip. He is, at the moment, learning to sing "Jesus Loves Me."
What a wonderful bird!!!!
I don't really know what the snuggle toy he is pictured in is called.
It's a round hoop with cotton rope tied to it, he just goes in it and
snuggles. He is three and a half years old. I had a friend that had a
nanday conure, so I did the worst thing possible. I called all the local
pet stores asking for a "talking bird." He was my first bird
and I didn't know any better, but I wouldn't change it for the world. He
does get free time, and has his own playgym that he stays on when not in
his cage. He likes to play dead and I help him do flips on my finger, he
still needs help with them. He is just a total joy!!!
