KC
(Killer Cockatoo) is a very special bird to us. We have known him
since he was a week old egg and patiently waited for him to arrive.
He was due on Easter Sunday 1999, but came a few days early on April
second. My family and I visited KC every week for six months until he
was weaned and able to come home. KC is an extremely intelligent
Cockatoo. He shakes hands, kisses(mouth and cheeks), waves, and is
very close to being an expert at ring toss. KC's vocabulary includes
Hello. Uh Oh, and a close resemblance to I love you and Hi Baby. He
also does an expert imitation of a rooster. He has brought sunshine
to our lives. He makes all four of us laugh at least five times a
day. He was absolutely worth waiting for he is now a member of the
family. KC now stands for King Cockatoo in our House :-).
