"I'm Beautiful" Chinchilla Brett is our little buddy of
eight and a half years. (He will be nine this coming March.) We almost
lost him this year. He had stopped eating. After a thorough exam and
x-rays of his entire body, blood tests, etc., that showed nothing wrong,
our vet suggested we try just one more thing - give him a tiny bit of
antacid. Within an hour, he started eating! Diagnosis: ulcer. With the
addition of Pepcid twice a day and nutrients to help him regain his
health, he is now back to his normal, (a little bit arrogant) lovable
self. He loves to sit on my shoulder, my back (or on my tummy when I'm
exercising!) He has such a strong personality, loves to tease and will
come to you when you call his name. What a wonderful Thanksgiving and
Christmas gift - to still have him with us!
