I
got Oprah from a local shelter last October. The staff there called
her Blacky because her fur is a beautiful sheeny, jet black. When the
attendant showing me the rabbits opened the door to her hutch, she ran
to the door and literally jumped into my arms. How could I not bring her
home after that? I soon found she has a very warm, distinct personality
and loves people...in fact, with her, it seems "the more the
merrier". She is also sometimes comically inquisitive; after a
couple of weeks in the house, she discovered my nice comfy armchair,
jumped into it and just sat there looking at me like she expected me to
start talking to her. That cemented my renaming her Oprah; I really
think that if she could speak, she'd give that talk show hostess
a run for her money. 8^) Now, she's the queen of the roost, enjoying
full run of both the house and garden and I am but her obedient human.
She's very well behaved (only one chewed computer cord and a speaker
wire) but will definitely let you know if she thinks something's amiss.
