This
is my Moluccan Cockatoo, Delilah. Delilah is six years old and we
live in Gray, Georgia. I purchased Delilah from a local pet store in
January 1999, a little over a year ago. I had been looking for some time
and once I saw her it was love at first site. She had been mistreated by
a previous owner and had started plucking some of her chest feathers but
that didn't matter to me. We bonded instantly! The pet shop owners were
amazed at how she took to me, she would bite anyone who came near her
cage or tried to hold her, but not me. I walked right up and she threw
her head down wanting love and that's what she got. She has been a
wondrous joy in my life. I smile everyday when I walk through the door
and she gives me her "Hello" and then turns flips with joy.
She's a real clown and always getting into mischief but I wouldn't trade
her for anything in this world. She's special to me just because we
found each other.
