This
is Cricket, one of my five Duprasi; John Wayne, Butterbean,
ChiggerBear, and Scarlett. Her name is Cricket because she was the runt
when I got her. This no longer holds true, for she has surpassed all
the others besides Butterbean.
Being that these are exotic pets, they are still very rare to the pet
market. After months of searching the internet, writing letters and
making plenty of long distance calls, I located a breeder in Florida. I
had to wait until they were born, then weaned. When they were finally
ready to leave their mother, I had to drive an hour to the airport to
pick them up. I love Cricket, and all these little guys. When they
sleep, they lay on their backs with their feet in the air, just like a
little dog. They like to be pet and rubbed behind the ears. ChiggerBear
will let you hold her on her back while scratching her tummy. These
precious little pets are very dear to me, and I don't know what I'd do
without them.
