Though
I shouldn't have favorites, Steeler is that of our four finches.
What makes him so special is that he really is a "mama's boy."
When my husband and I first bought him in Las Vegas, NV, we held him and
rubbed his head with our index finger. After we let him go, he would
just sit there on top of his cage and look at us rocking his head back
and forth. He gets daily time out of his cage, and he loves to fly
around the house at high speeds. He is only 13 grams, and about 3 inches
tall but is lovingly referred to as "the fat one" of our
birds, since he puffs up his feathers when he's cold or even just
sitting around.
