The
thing that makes my 'lil umbrella special is that she thinks
she's a cat! She sleeps in the bed with us and is very spoiled! When
we walk in the front door, she hears our arrival and lets out an
I'm-over-here yell. If she's out of her cage in her 'lil room, she'll
walk to the bedroom where she knows a cuddle could take place and
climbs half way up the bed until she gets stuck and just waits for
someone to come to her rescue! We have had her for about two years
and she can say "Hello, Coco bird!" She craves her monkey
biscuits everyday which follows with an after dinner cuddle. She
loves her water which she turns into what we call her 'lil
"gumbo." This is because she sits right above her water
bowl and lets all her (colored) peanut pieces fall into her water
which, when "brews" for about a day, makes a nice lil
colorful "gumbo!" She competes for attention with our
moluccan cockatoo and white-capped pionus as well as the T.V. and
radio. She jumps on strangers to cry for a cuddle and won't get off
anyone unless you take her off and place her on her perch. She has
been in L.S.U.'s newspaper and now feels she is a 'lil star. When
she's sitting on her perch, she will sometimes massage her neck with
her 'lil feet which is kinda cute! The reason we bought an umbrella
was because of their friendly demeanor and we feel she has evolved
into our child!
