Arnette,
is not my pet officially, but she lives on a farm where I volunteer
Saturday and Sunday, and I make a special effort to give her a lot of
attention, clean her pen thoroughly, and feed her her dinner. She is
getting on in years and is blind, but she loves her belly rubs and
knows when its time to eat. In the summer when the heat gets to be
uncomfortable I make special trips to the farm just to hose her with
cool water and put ointment on her to keep the bugs away, and in the
winter I "tuck her in" at night with lots of extra hay. She
is good natured and shows her appreciation by grunting back when I
talk to her. She is truly deserving!
