Beefcake
is a male Golden Agouti Guinea pig, born in July of 1998 in
North Carolina. We got Beefcake from a breeder while we were on
vacation in Raleigh. (He now lives in New York with us.) He seemed
like he would be a macho guinea pig, and we were into South Park at
the time, so that's how he got his name. It turns out that it is a
misnomer, because he is a big wimp. He always cries and runs away if
any of the other males go after him, and he squeals really loud every
time you try to pick him up.
He is a very good jumper, and he hops over the 16" divider wall of
his cage and visits my other guinea pigs. Luckily, they don't fight.
They just chubble a lot until he finally jumps back over. I am
including a very cute baby picture, and a current photo of him in all
